The Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) is a prestigious, fully funded scholarship for international students pursuing PhD or EngD degrees in science, engineering, and related disciplines at Singapore’s top universities and research institutes.

- Tuition Fees: Full tuition fee coverage throughout the duration of the programme.
- Monthly Stipend: An initial stipend of S$2,700 per month that increases (typically to S$3,200) upon passing the PhD qualifying examination, ensuring a stable living allowance.
- One-time Allowances: A settling-in allowance of S$1,000 and an airfare grant of up to S$1,500 to assist with relocation expenses

SINGA supports PhD and EngD studies across diverse research fields including:

Students can conduct their research either at one of the A*STAR research institutes or through one of the participating universities. Upon successful completion of the programme, the degree (PhD or EngD) is conferred by the respective university (NTU, NUS, SMU, SUTD, or SIT)
What is EngD ?
An Engineering Doctorate (EngD) is a research-based doctorate in engineering and applied science. It's similar to a PhD in engineering, but is more focused on industry than academia.

Eligibility Criteria
- Open to All International Students
- Academic Excellence: Strong undergraduate/master’s results (GPA ≥3.0 recommended). If have reputed research publications, then CGPA < 3 will also work.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English (IELTS/TOEFL optional for application but may be required later).
- No Age Limit: Mature applicants with research experience are considered

Documents Required

- Recent Passport-Sized Photo (in .jpeg or .png format)
Academic Transcripts & Reports
All academic transcripts must be translated into English.
Mandatory Documents:
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s academic transcripts
- Bachelor’s degree certificate(s) or a letter of certification from your university if the degree certificate has not yet been conferred
- Two recommendation reports (to be submitted online by your referees)
Additional Requirements:
- GRE scores may be required based on the university’s admission criteria
- IELTS / TOEFL / SAT I & II / GATE results are optional but may be requested at a later stage
